What data this website collects

This website does not use profiling cookies and does not employ any analytics or advertising tools. No visitor profiles are created.

As with any website, the server hosting it records technical data about requests — IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type — in the system logs. These data are needed to ensure the operation and security of the service (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and are kept for no longer than strictly necessary for that purpose.

The contact form

Anyone using the form on the Contact page provides their name, email address and the text of their message. These data are used solely to reply and to assess the possible conferral of a mandate (legal basis: pre-contractual measures, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and are stored in the reserved area of the website, accessible only to members of the firm.

Where the communication concerns legal proceedings, it may contain special categories of data or data relating to criminal convictions and offences: their processing is permitted where it is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (Arts. 9(2)(f) and 10 GDPR). For this reason, you are advised to limit your first message to what is needed for the firm to contact you.

If no mandate follows, messages are deleted within twelve months of receipt, except for what is needed to document the absence of conflicts of interest. If a mandate is conferred, the retention periods applicable to the professional file apply. The same applies to messages sent by email or certified email (PEC).

The map

The Contact page shows a Google Maps map (Google Ireland Limited). When that page is opened, the browser connects to Google's servers, which receive the visitor's IP address and may set their own cookies, in accordance with Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Anyone who prefers to avoid this may refrain from opening the Contact page: all of the firm's contact details are also shown at the bottom of every page.

Fonts served by third parties

The pages load their fonts from the Google Fonts service (Google Ireland Limited). To obtain them, the browser sends a request to the provider's servers, which therefore receive the visitor's IP address. This processing is necessary for the pages to be displayed correctly (legitimate interest).

To whom data may be disclosed

Data are neither disseminated nor sold. They may be disclosed only to parties acting on behalf of the firm (providers of hosting, database and email services, appointed as data processors) and, where necessary for the mandate, to judicial authorities, opposing parties, expert witnesses and local correspondent lawyers.

Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers (hosting, Google) may also process data outside the European Union: in that case the transfer takes place on the basis of the safeguards provided for by the GDPR, such as adequacy decisions of the European Commission or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Anyone may request access to their data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and may object to processing based on legitimate interest (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). Requests should be sent to the contact details given above and will be answered within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint at any time with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali [Italian Data Protection Authority] (Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome — garanteprivacy.it).
